Numbness and tingling is your body telling you that something is not right. It points out that there is an injury where nerves are being affected. If there is tingling in the arms and hands, there is most likely damage around the neck or spine. If there is tingling in the legs, there is most likely damage to the lower back. By listening to the numbness and tingling, you can avoid the injury from becoming worse.
