Maryssa Geist is a 2014 graduate of Seton Hall University. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University in 2018. During law school she focused on criminal justice issues and reform and received a certificate of merit in criminal law and procedure from Rutgers University.
Maryssa joined Ricci & Fava, LLC in September 2019 following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, a Superior Court Judge for the Criminal Division of Passaic County, New Jersey. Since joining the firm, she has concentrated her practice in the areas of criminal law, civil rights defense, and education law.
Before her bar admission, in the summers throughout law school, she worked as an intern for Kalman Harris Geist, Esq., a prominent attorney who specializes in criminal defense, medical malpractice, matrimonial, and personal injury litigation.
